Latest Information about the Covid-19 Situation

Turck is there for you even under the current difficult conditions

As of 03/24/2020

At the moment, the Covid-19 crisis is the dominant topic for all of us. Like many other companies, Turck is faced with the task of continuing to serve customer requirements in the best possible way while protecting your health and that of our employees and partners. For this reason, we have taken a number of measures for protection from the Coronavirus and are continuously evaluating the current situation in all areas of the company. With the measures introduced to date, we are currently not experiencing any significant restrictions on business operations.

The most wide-spread measure is providing a home office option for a large number of our employees around the world, where their job requirements allow it. Of course, your same sales person is still available for you in their home office. Thanks to the extensive investments in the worldwide IT infrastructure over the past years, Turck is now extremely well equipped to work remotely – an important step on our way to becoming the Leading Digital Automation Company. Where home office-based work is not possible, for example in development, production or logistics, groups of employees are separated as much as possible and assigned to shifts in order to secure the ongoing operation.

All Turck production facilities worldwide have taken comparable precautions to ensure the health of employees and their families, while at the same time safeguarding customer requirements and being able to continue to operate the critical processes with the usual efficiency. Employees with home office capabilities work from home, process-relevant employees ensure the production and operating procedures, each in strictly separated shifts. We are pleased that our facility in Tianjin, China, is now up and running again without restrictions. The situation in China has stabilized and output has returned to pre-shutdown levels.

In close contact with our global supply partners, we have so far been able to avoid significant impacts on our supply chain. For fast transportation, we are increasingly using express delivery services and are rebooking sea freight to air freight wherever possible and reasonable.

In addition, we have decided to refrain from participating in trade fairs, roadshows and other events with personal contacts worldwide until September, as a preventive measure. This also applies to the Hanover Fair 2020, currently scheduled for mid-July.

In these difficult times, we would be delighted if you continued to place your trust in us and if we supported each other in overcoming this crisis together.

Stay healthy!
